Our St. Peter’s family is committed to the great liturgy, or work of the people, in our Worship, Fellowship with each other, Discipleship and small group study, Ministry and Mission volunteer work. Each week in June we will have opportunities to appreciate each other and celebrate our work in the community. Click here for a list of our Member Appreciation weekend activities.

Join us in our Week of Service: June 12 – 17
While our Mountain of Hope team is in Honduras, we will serve local needs in our community; ages 5 to 95 can serve. Daytime, evening and Saturday options are available; space is limited, so be sure to sign up on this site or at the Ministry table on Sundays.

We have over 130 opportunities to serve the community during our week of service! Let’s have fun! Pick one, or two, that sounds fun for you and your family and join us!

Since 1986, The Christian Sharing Center has been focused on preventing hunger and homelessness for families and individuals in crisis.  We offer a hand-up to the working-poor in Seminole County and those who are struggling to move out of homelessness.  Services are provided without discrimination.  Services include: Food Pantry, Financial Assistance, Thrift Outreach Program, “Bless Our Soles” Shoes for Kids, and the Oasis Homeless Center.

The mission of The Mustard Seed Furniture and Clothing Bank is to help rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy by providing household furnishings and clothing while being environmentally responsible to our community. Their vision is that the provision of basic household furniture may set the stage for individuals to achieve restored dignity and self-esteem, enabling them to move ahead and take control of their futures.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Last year, with the help of numerous donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributed 52 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women’s shelters, senior centers, day care centers and Kids Cafes.

Volunteers will help put together meals that will be distributed at different Head Start Programs. Volunteers will not need to cook the meals- simply serve the items onto trays.

The Ronald McDonald House®, provides a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment at hospitals and medical facilities in Orlando. Before the Ronald McDonald Houses, parents were sleeping in their cars or in chairs in the waiting room, eating out of vending machines, or bearing the expense of impersonal hotel rooms.

There are three Ronald McDonald Houses in Orlando– Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Florida Hospital for Children and Nemours Children’s Hospital. Each year, about 2,000 families stay with us to be close to their critically ill children.

St. Peter’s will serve at the RMH at Florida Hospital for Children

The volunteer team will cook and serve a meal, lunch or dinner. The team will meet prior to our share-a-meal day to determine the  meal and procure all ingredients.

Feeding Children Everywhere and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be teaming up to assemble thousands of healthy meals. Through our assembly line model, volunteers will be mobilized to hand package meals during a one hour Hunger Project in a high energy, fun, competitive, team building atmosphere.
