Interested in the Daughters of the King?

Beginning April 3rd at 2:00 pm, St. Peter’s Daughters of the King will hold an orientation class. Women 18 and older are welcome to discover what it means to pledge yourself to the order. Taking the classes does not obligate you to becoming a member.

Daughters of the King

The Daughters of the King is an Order for women communicants of the Episcopal Church. Founded in 1885, DOK members undertake a Rule of Life incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. A daughter pledges herself to a lifelong program of prayer, service and evangelism strengthening the spiritual life of the parish. We pray daily for those in need and our service projects include Ronald McDonald House of Orlando, Sanford Crisis Pregnancy Center, and Prayer Shawls.

Daughters of the King meet regularly on the second Sunday of the month. Anyone interested in joining may contact Norma Ragsdale at 407-330-3592.

Ronald McDonald House of Orlando

The purpose of the Ronald McDonald House of Orlando is to provide a “home-away-from-home” for these families in medical crisis. Before the Ronald McDonald Houses, being with a hospitalized child meant parents were sleeping in their cars or in chairs in the waiting room, eating out of vending machines, or bearing the expense of impersonal hotel rooms. You can become involved through the Daughters of the King.

Sanford Crisis Pregnancy Center

In the confusion of the many options that surround you, the staff at the Sanford Crisis Pregnancy Center is here to help you. Services are free and confidential; your health and safety are our first concern. You are not alone.
