St. Peter’s Lake Mary
St. Peter’s was founded in 1984 as a mission church to serve the needs of the growing population in Lake Mary, Florida. The first service was held in September, 1984 at Lake Mary Elementary School. St. Peter’s soon moved to the Community Center in Lake Mary, and by mid-1985 had received approval from the Diocesan Board to purchase 6.6 acres on Rinehart Rd. In 1987, nearly three years following our first service, we broke ground for our current church building. Today, St. Peter’s features weekly services on Saturdays and Sundays including Sunday School for all ages. We have added an education wing that houses St. Peter’s Preschool and Kindergarten, an accredited early-childhood Christian school. We also offer regular Wednesday evening classes; we meet at 6:00 pm for a family-style dinner, followed by classes at 6:30 pm. Childcare and nursery care is offered during most services and activities.
