Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. ~ Joshua 1:9

Let us come together for this special service to seek God’s guidance and the continued support of the Holy Spirit as our parish enters this season of transition. We also pray for our new church program year and the beginning of the 2017 – 2018 school year for kids, families, and teachers. Bring your petitions to the Lord in prayer. The service will be led by Tom Phillips, Rebecca McGaffic and the Contemporary Worship Band. Prayer Team members will be available.

O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
~ Prayer for the Human Family, The Book of Common Prayer, p. 815

Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. ~ Prayer for the Parish, The Book of Common Prayer, p. 817

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. ~ Prayer for the Election of a Minister, The Book of Common Prayer, p. 818

O Eternal God, bless all schools, colleges, and universities, that they may be lively centers for sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom; and grant that those who teach and those who learn may find you to be the source of all truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
~ Prayer for Schools and Colleges, The Book of Common Prayer, p. 824
